1. Q: Why do I have numerous requests from my lender for a certificate of insurance?
A: The lenders are regulated by the State and Federal Governments, they need proof your mortgage is protected by insurance. Unfortunately a lender may request a certificate several times a year. However all you have to do as a unit owner is to ask your lender to use our website to request the certificate...or you can request the certificate yourself when they ask you for it.
2. Q: How do I order a certificate of insurance?
A: By simply clicking on the link on our home page, titled "Request a Certificate of Insurance," and filling out the form provided. You and the lender will receive an e-mailed copy in as little as 2 business days at the email addresses you provide us.
3. Q: When I request a certificate of insurance does my bank or mortgage holder receive a copy as well?
A: Yes! However if your lender asks for another certificate again, please forward them the copy you received from us.
4. Q: I can't find the certificate of insurance that you said you e-mailed me. Why didn't you send it?
A: Every time a request is processed we e-mail a copy to the owner's e-mail provided. Please check your "junk" or "spam" folder; it might be there.
5. Q: How much does it cost to request a Certificate of Insurance?
A: Nothing. It is a free service we offer to our customers.
6. Q: When I report a claim will my premium increase?
A: Insurance companies do not generally increase premiums for one or maybe two claims. Frequency of claims causes insurance companies more frustration than an occasional claim.
7. Q: How do I request a quote and how long does it take to receive one?
A: Homeowner policies and auto coverages can sometimes be done within a few days or week.
8. Q: What is the difference between an IMG agent and an insurance agent contracted solely with a company such as "Progressive?"
A: Our agency is an "independent agency" which means we have access to many different carriers. An agent that works for Allstate, Nationwide or State Farm only has access to that insurance company's policies. We "shop around" for the best coverages and premiums based upon the client's needs.
